项目征集:Asia Pacific Centre of Excellence in Translational Science (AP CoE-TS)

Please find attached the template for project proposal and the introductory file for  Asia Pacific Centre of Excellence in Translational Science (AP CoE-TS), a key part of Johnson & Johnson, Janssen Pharmaceutical, AP R&D organisation.     
 
In general, Janssen AP CoE-TS is seeking collaborations with PKU research groups focusing on six major translational area in Janssen AP (   https://www.janssen.com/apac/our-focus), namely Pulmonary Hypertension, Neuroscience, Cardiovascular & Metabolic diseases, Immunological disease, Oncology and Infectious diseases & Vaccines. These could range from innovative discovery with translational potential to close-to-clinic translational innovation. Projects with interdisciplinary elements are encouraged. Projects associated with the real world clinical data analysis would be most desirable to us. PIs will be not only supported by relevant AP CoE-TS teams but also able to access Janssen significant global R&D resources. Janssen AP CoE-TS believes a successful partnership with PKU would help  to attain the goal to harness the value of translational medicine research achieving significant clinical develop for patients’ benefits.
As a brand new call-for-proposal grant program jointly with PKU, Janssen AP CoE-TS would like to propose a   1+2 year model, where   up to 10 selected projects will be funded by AP CoE-TS for the first 12 months (   up to 1 million Chinese Yuan each). At the end of 12-month period, a scientific committee comprised of Janssen global TA team experts will prioritise up to 4 projects for continued support for further 2 years.  
 
The whole process is phased as follows:  
 
Phase-1: For the ones who are interested in applying for this call, please fill in the 2 page proposal with main applicant’s CV and send them to xjzhu@pku.edu.cn.  
  Submisssion deadline: July 30th, 2021  
 
 
Phase-2: Janssen AP CoE-TS will select proposals with close alignment of their global R&D TA theme and set up meetings between PIs and correlated TA team to further revise the proposal for their scientific committee’ review. The final winning proposals selected by the committee will be announced in early September.
