Institute of Molecular Medicine

The Institute of Molecular Medicine, Peking University (IMM PKU) was founded in 2004. With the theme of major diseases such as cardiovascular disease and metabolic syndrome, the Institute integrates basic, translational and preclinical research, adheres to the research strategy of "one-stop" from molecule to disease model to human, and conducts research on molecular mechanism and translational medicine.

The Institute of molecular medicine has established 18 laboratories and research centers with international standards and 3 large-scale public research platforms, including the internationally renowned "Non-human Primate Research Center", and established the Nanjing Institute of Molecular Medicine of Peking University Based on the Institute. In the future development, the Institute of molecular medicine will continue to emphasize deep-seated cooperation, collaborative innovation and integrated innovation, and take "inclusiveness and pursuit of excellence" as its mission, to carry out metabolic and cardiovascular translational medicine research. The core purpose is to solve major biomedical issues related to China's national economy and the people's livelihood, and cultivate innovative and interdisciplinary leading talents.
