With the continuous development of omics technology and the rapid advancement of clinical information digitization, a large amount of data and resources have been generated in the biomedical field, which provides a foundation for precision medicine and intelligent diagnosis and treatment. In recent years, the application of artificial intelligence technology in medical data processing has made outstanding achievements, which has greatly advanced the traditional research paradigm and become an important trend in future medical research as well as disease diagnosis and treatment.
The Department of big data and biomedical AI (BDBA PKU) will work closely with the "Institute of artificial intelligence" and the "National Institute of health data science at Peking University" to develop artificial intelligence algorithms for clinical causal decision-making and non-linear correlation based on multi-omics data, for fusion of cross-scale multi-modality data for scientific frontiers and major clinical needs, and to establish an intelligent diagnosis and treatment theoretical system based on cross space-time dimension, full spectrum medical data.
