Abstract:

Macrophages mediate inflammatory responses and the development of multiple inflammatory diseases, includingautoimmune diseases, infection, and cancer. Different cholesterol metabolites are vital to differentially manipulatemacrophage function. We are interested to identify which key cholesterol metabolites or enzymes could affect macrophagepolarization, inflammation or immune surveillance against infection or tumor. In addition, we recently identified the functionof meningeal lymphatic vessel (MLV) in the brain to transfer virus from the CNS to the peripheral, which might open a newangle to understand the pathology of various CNS diseases.
