Abstract: Considering the central role that the cell metabolism plays in life and health, we has developed a series of high-quality, genetically encoded fluorescent sensors for cellular metabolite detection. These sensors are very useful for spatiotemporal monitoring and imaging of metabolic state in living organisms, and have been applied to mechanistic research on development and regeneration, aging process, carcinogenesis and immunoregulation, screening of innovative drugs, and point-of-care diagnostics of clinical samples, which promote the interdisciplinary researches of science, technology and medicine in the field of health. Owing to their superior properties and ease of usage, these sensors have been requested by researchers from more than 500 labs worldwide, and are praised as the "revolutionary technology" by international researchers.
